-
robust
-
In a vaguely Rubens-esque sense, a program or piece of code that's fully fleshed-out, strong, brimming with health so that bugs can't survive. Increasingly applied to more nebulous, theoretical concepts (ideas, plans, specs, etc.).
-
crisp
- Well-reasoned, precisely reasoned. Opposite of random.
-
buttoned down
- Compliment, meaning tightly reasoned, clear, concise, etc. Not often heard of late.

Code is the raison d'être of geekdom, the yardstick by which a person's smartness can be judged, the daily challenge of 'code warriors'. And if your thinking is not crisp and buttoned down, cool code is likely to elude your endeavours.
