Glasgow Patter: daily life...
gink
(pronounced with a hard g) A slang word meaning to smell unpleasantly, or an unpleasant smell: "These denims a mine are ginkin." "There's some gink in that changin' room."
glabber
This means mud or dirt and is a variation of the more general Scots word clabber: "He slipped in the lane an got his troosers aw glabber."

Words in The Patter are not all related to aspects of life specific to Glasgow or particularly relevant to local habits - there is no shortage of local terms for everyday things or activities that are universal.
