Someone who is seen as being absent-minded or easily confused may be called bee-heidit. Presumably the idea is that such a person's thoughts fly busily all over the place like bees. A similar comparison is made in the phrase away wi the bees meaning the same thing: "Where's the half-pun a butter Ah telt ye tae get? Ach, ye're away wi the bees, so ye are!"
